Registration for the Lake Houston 10K/5K & Wellness Fest at Kings Harbor is now underway.
The Lake Houston 10K/5K & Wellness Fest, presented by Memorial Hermann Northeast is the Lake Houston Area Chamber’s community health and wellness event. The 10K run and 5K run/walk will begin at 8 am on Saturday, August, 28th at Kings Harbor.The Wellness Fest will follow the run/walk from 9:30 am to 2 pm with an award ceremony at 10 am.
The 10K/5K will be on a certified course, with prizes awarded for the top three runners in each age group. Runners and walkers are asked to pick up race packets on Friday at Kings Harbor or on the day of the race from 7 am to 7:30 am. The 10K race will begin promptly at 8 am followed by the 5K run/walk at 8:05am.
Entry fees are $25 for the 10K run and $20 for the 5K run/walk. Sign up can be done online at Active.com or www.lakehouston10k5k.com. Each runner that signs up will receive a commemorative shirt and goody bag.
The Wellness Fest will begin at 9:30 am and will run until 2 pm. There will be plenty of fun, food and entertainment. All kids are invited to stretch with Dynamo Diesel, the mascot for the Houston Dynamos soccer team, at 10:30 am. In addition, kids will have the opportunity to have their picture taken with Dynamo Diesel and receive an autographed card. |
